Joe Yau

Joe Yau is an A-Squared Theatre company member. He was last on stage for the company in 2014, in Lauren Yee’s Ching Chong Chinaman, playing Ed. Since then, he has written for Thailand Kitchen of The World, a 4-episode cooking show that starred Chef Arun Sampanthavivat and aired locally on WTTW. Joe has also written for Gold Rush Heroes, an independent documentary about Chinese Immigration. In the spring of 2016, Joe had the pleasure of understudying the role of the Kralahome in Lyric Opera’s production of The King and I. Other credits include Dr. Nakada in Wind Cries Mary (A-Squared), Jay in Mr. and Mrs. LaQuesta Go Dancing (CIRCA Pintig) and Man in The Other Shore (A-Squared/CIRCA Pintig). Joe would like to give thanks to his wonderful wife, Patti, and his great kids for their support.
