Isaly, or Isa, is a Puerto Rican and Mexican-American artist born on the northside of Chicago. Although she always loved entertaining others, she didn’t seriously pursue her dream of acting professionally until her older brother passed away unexpectedly. Now the mantra for her work is “glorify God, make my brother proud, and honor myself.”
As a proud Latin-American, she is passionate about the diverse representation of people of color, especially Latinas in art. She is signed to Shirley Hamilton Talent. Some credits include SPARK, 20% Theater Company; Stix & Stones: the Rabbit Caper, Millhouse Productions; Augmented, Duran Productions; and The Domino Effect, Paradigm Creatve Group.
Art and activism are important to Isa, so she co-founded Chicago Creatives for Change. This not-for-profit is an event planning organization that raises funds, awareness, and/or action against injustices that affect marginalized communities by uniting the talents of artists and activists in Chicago. Her ultimate goal in acting is to help facilitate cathartic moments to the audiences watching her work.
