Barbara Charlene

Barbara Charlene is thrilled to be back at Halcyon Theater coordinating violence and theatrical firearms. A Chicago-based fight director, Certified Teacher with the Society of American Fight Directors, and Certified Movement Analyst in Laban Movement Analysis and Bartenieff Fundamentals, her work as been seen on off-Broadway with Roundabout Theatre Company, and she has had the pleasure of working with such actors as Lea Michele, Jonathan Groff, Lily Rabe and Sarah Paulson, and with directors Kathleen Turner and Michael Meyer. She assisted on a National Tour of Spring Awakening, and was nominated for a New York Innovative Theatre Award for Best Choreography for her work with Stolen Chair Theatre Company. In Chicago, she has had the honor of working with Halcyon Theatre, Theater Wit, Raven Theatre, The Other Theatre Company, Towle Theatre, and Jedlicka Performing Arts Center, and upcoming will be working on the premier of good friday at Oracle Theatre. Other credits include Unto These Hills, The Lost Colony, and The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire.
